My name is Rosalie Richard and I have been an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2008.

I graduated from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. In the last 15 years, I have provided care in a variety of settings including care for hospitalized individuals, outpatient care, intensive outpatient care, and nursing homes.

I know that there are many individuals without transportation and some feel more comfortable in their own home, thus my telehealth practice was born.

If I could describe in one sentence one of my primary goals, it would be a quote from The Lion King. The scene from the movie is when Mufasa appears to his son Simba as Simba was struggling after the death of Mufasa and in a vision Simba heard Mufasa say, “Simba, remember who you are…” This is so meaningful to me because when life's challenges become overwhelming and losses seem larger than gains, effort feels useless and feelings of worthlessness takeover. I always encourage each of my clients to remember who they are and to never lose sight of their value and to never, ever give up.
